Happy New year to all. Hope you guys had a wonderful holiday season. The past two weeks have had major updates to the game despite some illnesses. With the new year we will be back to the weekly updates as well as we push to get to Early Access very soon. There will be more details on that shortly. Thanks again to all the testers and those who have supported the game in its current state. The game would be nothing without you guys!
Alpha V3.0 has now been uploaded to Steam! This update has a lot of sound fixes that I am aware many have asked for. Many different elements have been touched from build optimizations down to a brand new interactive tutorial system. Take a look at the changelist notes for a more indepth look.
This latest build comes with some massive sound enhancements for things like initiating the FTL drive, room ambiances, consoles and doorways to name a few. Not much to visually show in regards to this but you can get a glimpse but instead you can see some of the background has also been cleared up to help with some of the visual effects that accompany these changes.

New Tutorial System
The original tutorial was put in to give the player some insight into the background of the game world however from playtesters and feedback a lot of people either skipped over the subtle hints at what could be done or the info wasn't concrete enough for others. In order to address this feedback the new tutorial system has been added which must be completed the first time a new game is started up.
The tutorial system forces the player to learn the UI as well as perform tasks. Not all of the tutorial gives rewards but several pieces do as seen in the screenshot below leading to what can be spent to improve the overall ship.
